KRG Works to Develop Kurdistan from Consumerist to Productive Society: PM Barzani

he ninth cabinet of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) is working as part of its top priorities to develop the region from a consumer society to a productive one, said Prime Minister Masrour Barzani.

The top Kurdish leader discussed the issue during a meeting with a delegation from the Iraq-Britain Business Council led by UK Prime Minister Trade Envoy for Iraq Baroness Emma Nicholson in Erbil.

“We discussed trade relations and ways to target export markets for the Kurdistan Region — an important part of the government agenda,” Barzani said after the meeting.

Nicholson said her country is ready to support the KRG in implementation of its economic agenda, on top of which sands a diversified economy.
