During the meeting, the strong ties between Turkey and KRI were reiterated. They deserve and expect better service provisions and less corruption. KDP supports the legitimate demands of the demonsters.

Regarding the potential candidates to replace the outgoing PM, Head of KDP-FRO said that KDP supports any candidate who will implement the Federal Constitution and any measures taken need to be constitutional.

The Consul General emphasised that Turkey has no animosity towards the Kurds and their military operation in North Syria is to protect their country. The Consul General stressed that the Turkish military has done their utmost to minimise civilian casualties during their operation in northern Syria.

Mr. Siwaily expressed KDP’s and kurdistan Region's concerns over the military operation and the possibility of resettling some of the Arab refugees in Kurdish areas that cause demographic change and longer term tensions between local communities.

Mr. Karacy denied that his country and government have such a plan, and will not force refugees to return.

Head of KDP-FRO brought up the complaints of some passengers from Kurdistan Region who travel to Turkey or use the airports of Turkey to travel to other destinations. The Consul General of Turkey said that limited numbers of passengers from Iraq have been interviewed by immigration officers over immigration concerns only and these measures are not against any particular nationals or place.
