President Barzani Receives Speaker Al-Halbousi

The President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani received the Speaker of the Council of Representatives of Iraq, Mr.Mohammed Al-Halbousi.

They discussed the political and security situation in Iraq and the wider region, the formation of new cabinet in the federal Government and the draft laws currently presented to Iraq’s Council of Representatives.

Both sides agreed to work closely together to solve the ongoing issues in Iraq, meet the legitimate demands of the people and serve all components of the country.

They also agreed to support the political process and assist political partners in selecting Iraq’s next Prime Minister, in a way that respects the will and demands of the people of Iraq.
