The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) received more than 62 new refugees from neighboring Syria on Thursday, as the flow of civilians, affected by Turkey's October offensive, continues to the autonomous region.
At least 62 refugees entered the Kurdistan Region through the border crossing of Sihela on Thursday, the Joint Crisis Cooperation Center (JCC) of the KRG said in a statement.
The JCC's statement further explained that a total of 18,940 refugees have so far been received by the Kurdistan Region since early October.
Turkey began an offensive against the Kurdish forces in northeast of Syria on October 9, but it halted it after reaching two ceasefire deals with the US and Russia.
