Kurdistan Region President meets with President of Japanese JICA

In the meeting with Mr. Shinichi Kitaoka, the president of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), President Nechirvan Barzani expressed Kurdistan Region’s gratitude and appreciation for the work and the projects of JICA, which has been providing services in the Kurdistan Region for many years. The President praised JICA’s contributions in the reconstruction process of the Kurdistan Region.

As part of Kurdistan Region President’s meetings at the World Economic Forum in Davos, the president met with the president of the Japan International Cooperation Agency. In the meeting, the work and activities of the agency in the Kurdistan Region were highlighted. Kurdistan Region President expressed gratitude to JICA, the people and the government of Japan for their support to the Kurdistan Region.

JICA’s President reiterated that his agency will continue to support the Kurdistan Region and appreciated the KRG’s support and coordination in facilitating the implementation of JICA’s work and projects in Kurdistan.
