President Barzani, Muthanna Governor Discuss Iraq

president of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) received on Wednesday the Governor of Muthanna Ahmed Manfy to discuss the political and security affairs in Iraq.

The pair exchanged views on the latest developments in the country, with Manfy praising Barzani's efforts to help the Iraqi southern cities in restoring stability in the area.

He also thanked the Kurdish leader on behalf of the people of Muthanna and Samawa, according to a statement by Barzani's office.

The Iraqi official, accompanied by a delegation, further urged Barzani to play a role in resolving the current situation from which Iraq is suffering.
