PM Barzani Meets with Investors to Discuss Fostering Economy

Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani chaired a meeting with cabinet officials and investors from around Kurdistan, discussing the efforts to help Kurdistan’s economic growth.

PM Barzani highlighted his cabinet’s ambitious reform agenda and reaffirmed commitment to supporting the economic growth of the Kurdistan Region through joint efforts between public and private sectors.

“The reforms, aimed at transforming the Kurdistan Region into a destination of choice for investors, will help eliminate the red tape, in turn generating further opportunities in the region’s growing economy,” according to the readout of the meeting.

Prime Minister Barzani stressed KRG’s mission to facilitate opportunities in all sectors for both local and foreign investors, with an emphasis on protecting the public and investors' interests.

 

With the Kurdistan Region primed to become an important regional trade centre, Prime Minister Barzani added that the KRG will work closely with the private sector to create further opportunities for young people to contribute towards the Kurdistan Region's economic prosperity.
