On the sidelines of Munich Security Conference in Germany, Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani held a meeting with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu to discuss bilateral ties and regional topics.
Barzani described the meeting later in a short statement on his Twitter account as “amicable and encouraging”, saying they explored ways to increase trade and investment.
“A very amicable and encouraging meeting with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu, exploring ways to increase bilateral trade and investment between Turkey and the Kurdistan Region,” PM Barzani said.
He also revealed that joint efforts to promote stability across Iraq was also on the agenda of their discussions.
