Germany Praises Kurdistan as a Successful Example in Governance

Minister of State at the Federal Foreign Office of Germany, Niels Annen, met with Kurdistan Prime Minister Masrour Barzani in Munich where he praised Kurdistan Region as a successful example of governance in the region.

PM Barzani and Niels Annen exchanged views on the latest developments in the Middle East, as well as the bilateral ties between Erbil and Berlin.

The two officials agreed on the importance of continued coordinations between Kurdistan’s Peshmerga forces and the Iraqi army to combat the remnants of the Islamic State (IS).

PM Barzani was in Munich to attend the annual Munich Security Conference with many other leaders from around the world.
