ISIS Terrorists are reemerging in Mosul

Head of the Office of Kurdistan Democratic Party in Mosul said that ISIS sleeper cells in the governorate began to reorganize themselves and now constitute a serious threat to the city. He also added that if real and strict measures were not taken against them, there is a high possibility that they would escalate their terrorist acts.

In a statement he made to the official website of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Ali Khalil, Head of the Office said, "The number of ISIS sleeper cells has increased in Mosul, and according to reliable information, they have reorganized themselves well and are working to enhance their capabilities again, so the security forces in Mosul must coordinate with each other in order to prevent these terrorist groups from returning to the scene, eliminate them and prevent them from carrying out any military activity, as they now pose a serious threat to the city."

"If the security forces did not eliminate the sleeping cells and prevent them from reorganizing their ranks, this would pose a threat to the city and the terrorists will have the opportunity to pounce on the city again," Khalil added.

He explained that they have informed all the parties of ISIS activities and their actions, including the governor.
