Government of Poland has decided to upgrade the mission in Kurdistan Region to Consulate General

Dominick Musial Head of Consular Agency of the Republic of Poland in Kurdistan Region visited Kurdistan Democratic Party Foreign relation Office (KDP-FRO).

The head of KDP-FRO during the meeting the importance and strengthening of relations between the Republic of Poland and Kurdistan Region was re-emphasised in particular economic and cultural ties and cooperation.

At the meeting the current developments on both federal and KRI levels were discussed and views were exchanged with the challenges facing the formation of the new government in Baghdad. Siwaily reiterated that any cabinet of the Federal Government most have the support of main Iraqi components we as Kurdistani have precondition on any candidate we believe that implementation of Iraqi constitution most be prerequisite.  

Discussing political and regional situation were another part of the meeting and the impact it has on Kurdistan Region. The Head of KDP-FRO presented KDP’s position on latest development in Iraq and the region and reiterated that political and security stability in Iraq has been and will be one of our top priorities. Instability in Iraq and beyond is not in the interest of anyone therefore needs collective effort to achieve peace and prosperity for our people. Regading attempt to exclude any one of the main components of the Iraqi society from ruling Iraq will fail as it has in the past.  Siwaily mention that the main that all political parties in Kurdistan Region of Iraq together with other Sunni and Shia parties came together to prevent some elements in Iraq to derail the political process to their own advantage.

Dominick Musial Head of Consular Agency of the Republic of Poland in Kurdistan Region said that his “government has decided to upgrade the mission in Kurdistan Region to Consulate General and believe this will affect the work and strengthening relations between two nations”. Musial suggests his plan how hi will take opportunity of the upgrade of the mission here is to reestablish further and widen cooperation with Kurdistan that covers all fields includes economy, trade, businesses, education and political and social which is in the interest of our people and look forwards for further support from KDP-FRO.

 

Finally the current global widespread of Coronavirus was focus on and how the two states can cooperate in the time of need as it thread to all humanity and both believes that international cooperation requires to prevent and find medicines.
