President Masoud Barzani, highlighted the role of women in the Kurdish struggle for freedom.

In his message on the International Women’s Day, President Masoud Barzani, President of Kurdistan Democratic Party highlighted the role of women in the Kurdish struggle for freedom.

“On International Women's Day, I wish the women of Kurdistan and the world a happy and blessed day,” the Kurdish leader wrote on Twitter.

“The role of the women of Kurdistan was indispensable during the freedom-seeking revolutions of our people,” he added.

President Barzani also commended the support of the women of Kurdistan for the Peshmerga forces during different revolutions.
