President Masoud Barzani received Muhammad al-Halbousi, Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, in Salahadin

During the meeting, the political situation, the latest developments and developments in Iraq and the Region were discussed. The political process in Iraq in the next phase was also highlighted, and the necessities of coordination and joint action between the parties were emphasized in order to address the ongoing crises.

 

In another part of the meeting, views and opinions were exchanged on solving the existing problems and improving relations between the Region and Baghdad.

 

The Federal and Regional Governments are engaged in serious talks to resolve all the outstanding issues between the two governments. The two sides reached a temporary agreement in the middle of August, but a lasting agreement is still pending.
