President Masoud Barzani received the Secretary General of the Arab League

On Sunday, April 11, 2021, in Salahaddin, President Masoud Barzani received a delegation head by the Secretary General of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul Gheit

During the meeting, the Secretary General of the Arab League briefed President Barzani on the purpose of his visit to Iraq and the meeting with the Iraqi Presidencies. He also hoped that Iraq would be able to move away from foreign intervention towards stability and stressed the importance of relations between the Arab world and Iraq.

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on the threats to the Iraqi political process and the need to strengthen the foundations of partnership in Iraq.

The threat of terrorism and the threat of violence in Iraq and other countries in the region were another topic of discussion.
