Security Forces Foil Attack Against Peshmerga, Seize 5 Rockets

Iraqi security forces on Monday discovered five loaded rocket launchers in Kirkuk pointed at the Peshmerga positions.

Iraq’s War Media Cell said the five Grad rockets were discovered in Pirde (Altun Kopri).

A specialized team safely removed the rockets and the security forces have already launched an investigation.

The Shia militia groups linked to Iran are often blamed for the rocket attacks not only against the Peshmerga, but also the US forces in other provinces of Iraq.
