President Masoud Barzani received the Georgian Ambassador to Iraq, Mr. Zaza Kandelaki

President Masoud Barzani received the Georgian Ambassador to Iraq, Mr. Zaza Kandelaki. During the meeting, the Georgian Ambassador to Iraq expressed his deep appreciation for President Barzani’s struggle, history and the sacrifices of the people of Kurdistan for the sake of freedom. He also announced his country’s desire to develop economic and trade relations with the Kurdistan Region and to appoint an Honorary Consul for his country in Erbil.

At the same meeting, President Barzani welcomed strengthening of relations between the Kurdistan Region and Georgia and hoped that these relations would witness steps forward.
