President Masoud Barzani receives new Consul General of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the Kurdistan Region, Muhammad bin Suleiman Al-Asiri

During the meeting, the new Saudi Consul in Erbil expressed his appreciation for the development and prosperity taking place in the Kurdistan Regiondespite the presence of many challenges. He also expressed to President Barzani his country's desire to expand relations with the region in financial, economic, diplomatic and other various fields.

 

For his part, President Barzani highlighted the historical relations between the people of Kurdistan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and expressed his gratitude to Saudi Arabia for its assistance and contributions in easing the burden of displaced persons and refugees on the shoulders of the Kurdistan Region. He also wished the new Saudi Consul success in his new duties.
