President Masoud Barzani to the families of the Peshmerga who were martyred and injured by the PKK, “the perpetrators of this crime will be punished.”

President Masoud Barzani on Sunday made a series of phone calls to the families of the martyred and wounded Peshmerga forces from a result of an attack by PKK militants at dawn on Saturday. The attack took placeon the Mountain of Matinin the area of AmediDistrict within the borders of Duhok Governate. He expressed his condolences to the families and was deeply saddened by this sorrowful event and mentioned the perpetrators of this crime will be punished.

 

President Barzani also spoke via telephone to the eight Peshmerga forces injured during the attack, wishing them a speedy recovery.
