Indian Ambassador to President Barzani :we Hopes to Expanded our Relations with Kurdistan Region

President of Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), Masoud Barzani,  received Birender Singh Yadav, the Indian Ambassador to Iraq, to discuss bilateral ties between Erbil and New Delhi.

Barzani and Yadav hoped that the relations between the two sides would further expand in different areas of potential cooperation.

On the war against the Islamic State (IS), the two officials agreed that countering the threat of terrorism is an international responsibility which requires multilateral cooperations.

The relations between Erbil and Baghdad, the latest political and security developments, as well as the forthcoming parliamentary elections in Iraq, were also discussed during the meeting.

Since Ambassador Yadav was paying a farewell visit at the end of his tenure in Iraq, Barzani wished him success in his future positions.
