Today Auguest-1st 2021 Mr.Mahmoud Muhammed expresses his appreciation japan consul in Erbil for the visit he paid to KDP Media Center. The Head of KDP Culture and Media talked about the role of KDP media bodies to convey the message of the Kurdistan Democratic Party and the policy of the party.

Mr. Mahmoud mentioned that the KDP Culture and Media institute is a responsible and work professionally to meet its obligations to enhance democracy, peaceful coexistence, respect for human rights and work in the interest of Kurdistani cause. the Head of KDP-CMI reiterate that while the institution is one of KDP's organs and work on basis of Party vision which is different from other media in the region.

During the meeting the strategic agreement between Iraq and United States of America were also discussed and the Kurdistan Democratic Party position on that agreement, and mentioned the official stance of the Kurdistan Democratic Party were published through the statement released last week in which KDP welcomed the agreement, as KDP believes that there is still a major threats on Iraq and on the international community, beside the fact that the USA can play positive role in eliminating those threats.

In another part of meeting Mr Muhammad talked about the current situation in Iraq and the upcoming Iraqi elections, noting that the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) is with the elections and has finished its necessary preparations for the early election. Also Mr. Mahmoud talked about the Iraqi provincial council elections, which are due to take place next year.

At the meeting both side emphasized on the desire to resolve outstanding issues between Iraqi parties in general and Kurdistan Region particularly via dialogue. Head of KDP-CMI highlighted the history of Iraq's establishment and after the fall of the Baathist regime, many unsolved problems remained unsolved and the position of Iraqi side to find out a solution according to the Iraqi permanent Constitution remains unclear.

Head of KDP-CMI recalled the participation of Kurdistan Political leadership, especially President Masoud Barzani in the establishment of the new Iraq including the writing the Iraqi Permanent constitution. he emphasized that our efforts are to encourage all side to work towards resolving the problems between Erbil and Baghdad according to the Iraqi constitution and creating a political situation for all of Iraq that will respond to the Iraqis demands and the rights of the Kurdistani people.

Mr . Arakawa Mikihiro thanked head of KDP-CMI Mahmoud Muhammad for the opportunity and explanations and helping broader and deeper understanding of KDP-CMI role, work and KDP position in current developments in Iraq and the region.
