President Masoud Barzani welcomes Iran's Ambassador to Iraq

On Tuesday, December 21, 2021, President Masoud Barzani welcomed Iraj Masjedi, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Iraq, in Salahaddin.

The meeting discussed the political situation in Iraq, the outcome of the elections, and the steps taken to bring the Iraqi parties closer together.

At the same meeting, emphasis was placed on implementing the three principles of partnership, compromise and balance in Iraqi governance in order to achieve stability, revitalize and direct Iraq's political process.

Relations between the Kurdistan Region and the Islamic Republic of Iran and the development of relations in the economic, commercial and cultural fields were other topics of the meeting.
