A statement by President Barzani to the Iraqi and Kurdistan public opinion

In the name of of Allah the Merciful, compassionate 

 

The decision of the Federal Supreme Court on the oil and gas of the Kurdistan Region is a purely political decision, contrary to the Iraqi federal constitution and the aim is to antagonize the Kurdistan Region and the federal system in Iraq.

 

We hope that the governments of Iraq and the Kurdistan Region will be able to overcome the obstacles and agree on the oil and gas issue.

Nevertheless, we announce to everyone that the Kurdistan Region will defend with all its might its constitutional rights.
