The British Ambassador to Iraq emphasized that the position of the Kurdistan Regional Government in Iraq and the region needs to remain strong.

President Masoud Barzani welcomes the British Ambassador to Iraq

 

On Tuesday, February 15, 2022, President Masoud Barzani welcomed British Ambassador to Iraq, Mark Bryson Richardson and his accompanying delegation. 

 

President Barzani highlighted the latest developments in Iraq's political process. Both sides discussed reforms within the Ministry of Peshmerga and the visiting delegation expressed their appreciatation for continuation of the reforms and security in the region. Cooperation between the Kurdistan Peshmerga forces and Iraqi forces is a positive step to stabilize the disputed areas. The threats of terrorism in Iraq and Syria were other areas of discussion in the meeting.
