President Masoud Barzani welcomed the Prime Minister of the Government of Iraq and accompanying delegation

On Monday, March 14, 2022, In Salahaddin, President Masoud Barzani welcomed Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Kadhimi and a delegation of his companions, including Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein, Defense Minister Jumaa Einad, Federal Government Interior Minister Osman Ghanmi and a number of senior Iraqi federal government political security officials.

 

In the meeting attended by Kurdistan Regional Government Prime Minister Masrour Barzani and Regional Government Interior Minister Rebar Ahmed, the Iraqi Prime Minister expressed his sympathy to the people of Kurdistan and Erbil for the missile attack on Erbil, describing it as a destructive act of aggression against all Iraq. The Prime Minister also revealed that a special committee has been formed to reveal the facts of the incident and to explain the misleading.

 

Also, both sides exchanged views on the cooperation and consequences of the Erbil missile attack and emphasized the cooperation of both sides to maintain the stability of the Kurdistan Region and Federal Iraq.

 

Iraq's political process, challenges and opportunities in Iraq's political process were another topic of the meeting.
