Head of the Kurdistan Democratic Party Foreign Relations Office attend 77th anniversary of Victory Day

Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Erbil organized a reception on the occasion of the 15th Anniversary of the official opening of the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Erbil. The date also marked the 77th anniversary of Victory Day.

 

H.E Elbrus Kutrashev, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Iraq also attended. Mr. Ambassador and Mr. Consul General Oleg Levin reiterated their country’s commitment to support the Kurdistan Region and provided a brief overview on the past and current relations between Russia and the Kurds. They also expressed their country’s eagerness to further develop these relations in the future.

 

Hoshyar Siwaily head of the Kurdistan Democratic Party attend the ceremony and  Minister Safeen Dizayee, Head of the KRI’s Department of Foreign Relations represented the KRG. He thanked the government and people of the Russian Federation for their continued support and emphasised the importance of taking the current relations to a more advanced and ambitious level.

 

Representatives of President Masoud Barzani and President Nechirvan Barzani also attended the ceremony.
