President Masoud Barzani welcomes Belgium's Ambassador to Iraq.

On Saturday, May 14, 2022, President Masoud Barzani welcomed Belgian Ambassador to Iraq, Filip Vanden Bulcke, in Salahaddin.

 

The meeting discussed the political situation in Iraq, the challenges to the political process and the steps taken to form a new federal government.

 

In another part of the meeting, Belgium's ambassador in addition to referring to President Barzani's historical role in the struggle of the Kurdish people, also thanked the Kurdistan Regional Government for cooperation and bilateral relations in various fields.

 

In the same meeting, opinions were exchanged on the situation in Syria, as well as the need to normalize the situation in Shingal, and the return of the people of Shingal to their areas and rebuilt their lives.
