Today, Tuesday, June 7, 2022, a delegation of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) and the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) discussed the issue of the constitution and the Kurdistan parliamentary elections.
The KDP delegation included Rebwar Yalda, member of the Political Bureau and Head of the delegation, Khasraw Goran, Head of the electoral Department Zana Mullah Khalid, Head of KDP Bloc in the Kurdistan Parliament.
The PUK delegation included Razgar Ali, Head of the PUK's political bureau, Razgar Haji Hama, Head of the PUK's Electoral Bureau, Ziad Jabar, Head of the PUK Bloc and Luqman Wardi, Deputy Head of the PUK Parliamentary Bloc.
After the meeting, the two sides issued a joint statement.
The Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) and the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) held a meeting in Erbil to discuss the constitution and the Kurdistan parliamentary elections as two national issues.
1. Both sides agreed on the need to Prepare a draft for the Kurdistan Region Constitution.
2. The issue of the Kurdistan Parliamentary elections and the Election Commission as two national issues need further discussions and compromise of all political forces in Kurdistan to reach a comprehensive agreement.
3. It was decided to continue the meetings between the two sides
