President Barzani Urges Partnership and Consensus Reality in Iraq

President Massoud Barzani, today, received a delegation from the United States Department, led by Brett McCook, a senior adviser to the US State Department.

During the meeting, President Barzani asserted that the Kurdistan Region’s attitude regarding the problems and the crisis in Iraq needed to strengthen their partnership and stated that the Iraqi Federal Government must start with positive steps to find a resolution to end the crisis.

McCook stressed that the United States will support compliance and partnership, between the Kurdistan Region and the Iraqi Government, in accordance to the Iraqi constitution and the Erbil agreement.
