President Masoud Barzani and French Consul General discussed political process of Iraq including process of forming the new Federal Government.

President Massoud Barzani received Olivier Decottignies Consul General of France in Erbil, in Salahaddin on Monday.

The meeting they discussed relations between the Kurdistan Region and the Republic of France including telephone conversation between President Masoud Barzani and President Macron last month.

The meeting also exchanged views on the political situation in Iraq and the scenarios and possibilities in the Iraqi political process in the next phase.

 The latest political and security developments in Syria and the future of the Kurdish people in Syria were also discussed.
