President Barzani receives the new US Consul General

‏received today the new US Consul General in Erbil, Mr. Ervin Hicks. In the meeting, the US Consul General in Erbil expressed his appreciation for the struggle and sacrifices of the Kurdish people to achieve freedom and their fight against dictatorship.  He said that achieving happiness and freedom are two common attributes between the American people and the Kurdish people.  President Barzani stressed that the Kurdish people have a legitimate cause and are ready to make any sacrifice for that cause.

‏  The meeting also emphasized the development of bilateral relations and the US Consul General in Erbil spoke about the cooperation and coordination between his country and the Kurdistan Regional Government in the field of private sector development and job opportunities for citizens.
