Saudi Ambassador stressed that the stability of the Kurdistan Region and Iraq is of great importance to his country.

President Masoud Barzani welcomed Saudi Ambassador to Iraq, Abdulaziz bin Khalid al-Shamari. 

In the meeting, the Saudi Ambassador to Iraq conveyed greetings from King Salman bin Abdulaziz, King of Saudi Arabia and Prince Mohammed bin Salman to President Barzani. He stressed that the stability of the Kurdistan Region and Iraq is of great importance to his country. 

President Barzani also thanked the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and King Salman for supporting the people of Kurdistan in the fight against ISIS terrorists.

The meeting also emphasized the friendship and historical relations between the two sides and the development of relations between the Kurdistan Region and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The threat of terrorism for the stability of the region was another topic of the meeting.
