President Masoud Barzani received Ambassador Martin Jäger, Ambassador of Germany to Iraq.

The meeting, which was also attended by Mr. Klemens Semtner, German Consul General in Erbil, discussed the political situation in Iraq and the latest efforts to end the political deadlock in the country in accordance with the constitution.

 In another part of the meeting, the German Ambassador condemned the attack of the Iranian forces on the Kurdistan Region and targeting civilians. The Ambassador said that his country attaches great importance to its relations with the Kurdistan Region and wanted to develop these relations in the future. He stressed that his country supports the rights of the Kurdistan Region within the framework of the constitution.
