President Barzani receives the British Ambassador and his accompanying delegation

President Barzani received today, October 17, 2022, British Ambassador to Iraq Mark Bryson-Richardson, British Consul General David Hunt and their accompanying delegation.

 The two sides discussed the latest developments in the Iraqi political arena after the election of the President of the Republic. 

Both sides stressed that steps regarding the formation of the new Iraqi government need to be in accordance with the electoral merits and the new government should implement the program agreed upon by all the parties involved in the political process, so that this program would serve as a road map that charts the course of the political process in Iraq and push it towards achieving political stability.

 President Barzani  emphasized  the importance of the role of women and further strengthening this role adding that the Kurdistan Democratic Party has always been in the forefront of empowering women and giving them distinguished role to advance society.
