International observers invited to monitor Kurdistan elections

In a meeting with the Ambassador Lindstrom of Sweden to Iraq, Hemin Hawrami, Head of Kurdistan Democratic Party Foreign Relations Office, requested for Sweden and EU to send observers to monitor the elections in Kurdistan next September

Mr. Hawrami stressed the KDP's position and preference on the elections that it be transparent and democratic.

On the current situation in Iraq, Mr. Hawrami confirmed the consistent position of KDP not to use violence against citizens and non-involvement of the military to political conflicts.
