President Barzani receives the Consul General of the Republic of Turkiye and discussed regional developments.

President Masoud Barzani received Mr. Mohammed Mavlud Yakut, Consul General of Turkiye in Erbil. 

 The meeting discussed the political situation in the region, the importance of security and stability in Iraq and Kurdistan and its impact on regional stability, as well as friendship and economic and trade relations between the Kurdistan Region and Turkiye.

 The meeting also exchanged views on relations between the Kurdistan Region and Baghdad and stressed the need to implement the agreement between the political parties and reflected on the decisions of the new Iraqi government.  The meeting also discussed the importance of the Sinjar agreement and returning the refugees to their ancestral homeland and ending the suffering and displacement of the people of Sinjar region.
