President Barzani receives a high-level delegation of the Communist Party of China

President Masoud Barzani received a high-level delegation of the Communist Party of China (CPC) headed by Mr. Zhu Rui, Vice Minister of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and Chu Wei, Ambassador of China to Iraq.

 In the meeting, Mr. Zhu Rui, the head of the delegation, briefed President Barzani on the policy and worldview of the Communist Party of China after the 20th Congress of the party on global and regional issues, as well as the situation, progress and changes in China.  He referred to the common points and concepts between the Kurdistan Democratic Party and the Communist Party of China and called for the development of relations between the two sides, especially in the exchange of experience and expertise in the field of administration, governance, trade and economy.

 In the same meeting, President Barzani welcomed the guest delegation and while pointing to the historical relations between the Kurdistan Democratic Party KDP and Chinese Communist Party CPC he stressed that the KDP and the CPC have been able to overcome great obstacles and challenges through their struggle.

 President Barzani expressed his support for the development of relations between the Kurdistan Region and China and hoped that the KDP and the CPC would establish appropriate mechanisms for the development of bilateral relations and expand cooperation to serve the mutual interest of the people of Kurdistan Region and People's Republic of China.
