President Barzani and the British Minister Lord Ahmad discussed relations between the Kurdistan Region and the United Kingdom

President Barzani receives a delegation from the British Government 

  President Masoud Barzani received a delegation of the British Government led by Lord Ahmad, Minister of State for Middle East, North Africa, South Asia and the United Nations at the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office.

 In the meeting, which was attended by Mr. Mike Bryson Richardson, British Ambassador to Iraq and Ms. Rosy Cave, the British Government Consul General in Erbil, Lord Ahmad appreciated the struggle and efforts of President Barzani and acknowledged the role and influence of President Barzani in stability, peace and security of the region. 

 The meeting also discussed the political situation in the region and the latest developments in the Iraqi political process and relations between the Kurdistan Region and the Iraqi Federal Government.

 In another part of the meeting, views were exchanged on the situation in the Kurdistan Region and political differences between the parties and President Barzani stressed that the elections should be held this year.

 Relations between the Kurdistan Region and the United Kingdom were another topic of the meeting and both sides stressed the importance of promoting these relations.
