President Masoud Barzani welcomes the British Consul General in Erbil

President Masoud Barzani welcomed David Hunt, the new British Consul General in Erbil. 

In the meeting, President Barzani wished him success in Erbil and in his duties and also thanked the United Kingdom for supporting the Kurdistan Peshmerga forces in the ISIS war.

In the meeting, the British Consul General emphasized on continuing his country's support for the Kurdistan Region and the desire to expand relations and develop cooperation between the UK and the Kurdistan Region in various fields.

The upcoming October Parliamentary elections were another topic of the meeting, with both sides hoping that the upcoming Iraqi Federal Parliament elections would lead to positive changes and achieve the wishes of the people of Iraq.
