President of Kurdistan receives Baden-Wurttemberg Deputy Prime Minister

President of Kurdistan-Region Massoud Barzani met the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance and Economy Mr Nils Schmid from the state of Baden-Wurttemberg and his accompanying delegation.

Deputy Minister Schmid expressed his delight in visiting Kurdistan and meeting with President Barzani who took this opportunity to admire the region’s security and stability that is essential to encourage German companies to invest in Kurdistan.

For his part, President Barzani welcomed the delegation, while being hopeful in developing further ties with Germany and the willingness of Kurdistan for cooperation with German companies, particularly in the areas of education, agriculture and tourism

The meeting also held talks on the current political situation in Iraq.
