President Barzani receives British Ambassador to Iraq

President Masoud Barzani received British Ambassador to Iraq, Mike Bryson-Richardson. The meeting, which was also attended by Ms. Rosy Cave, British Consul in Erbil, discussed the political situation in Iraq and the region, relations between the Kurdistan Regional Government and the Iraqi Federal Government, and the need to resolve issues between them.

In another part of the meeting, views were exchanged on the internal situation in Kurdistan, and both sides agreed that to protect legitimacy and strengthen the democratic process, the elections in the Kurdistan Region should be held without any obstacles.

Relations between the Kurdistan Region and the UK were another topic of the meeting, and the British Ambassador stressed the friendship and alliance between the UK and the Kurdistan Region.

It is worth mentioning that Mr. Bryson-Richardson, who has completed his duties in Iraq, bid farewell to President Barzani. President Barzani thanked the British Ambassador for his efforts and wished him success in his new duties.
