President Barzani met with the people of Akre and Bardarash.

On Friday, August 18, 2023, President Masoud Barzani visited Akre district and was warmly welcomed by party and government officials of the district at the headquarters of the 9th branch of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP).

 

 

 Later, President Barzani met with the proud relatives of the martyrs, veteran peshmergas,  teachers, religious figures, traders, farmers, youth and women in Akre district.

 

 In his speech to the participants of the meeting, President Barzani highlighted the need to serve the region in general and pointed out that more services should be provided to citizens without discrimination and explained that the Kurdistan Regional Government is working to serve all regions.

 

 Regarding the relations between the Kurdistan Region and Iraq, President Barzani said that we continue our negotiations with Baghdad and are waiting for the implementation of the agreement to protect the rights and financial entitlements of the Kurdish people and the constitutional institution.

 

 Finally, President Barzani opened the door to discussion with the participants and listened carefully to the demands and suggestions of the people of the region.
