President Barzani met with the people of Amedi district and its surroundings

On Saturday, August 19, 2023, President Masoud Barzani met with the 18th branch of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) in Amedi district.

 In his speech, President Barzani highlighted the struggle and sacrifices of the people of the region during the revolution and appreciated the sacrifices and efforts of the people of the region and said he come to.

 President Barzani said that the relevant parties and the Kurdistan Regional Government have made their efforts to reach more prosperity to foster prosperity to provide more services in the district and explained that there are some problems due to the security situation in this district some places and villages not able to provide services and this has led to a decline in job opportunities in the region and a weakness in the private sector.  He said the government and the party should be the servants of their nation.

 President Barzani continued his speech on the internal situation in the Kurdistan Region and said that the existence of different opinions among the political parties in Kurdistan is a natural.  But, all parties must agree on protecting and strengthening the structure of the Kurdistan Region and the interests of the Kurdistan Region and its citizens.

 Regarding the situation in Iraq and relations between the Kurdistan Region and Baghdad, President Barzani briefed the participants on the relations between the Kurdistan Region and Baghdad after the fall of the regime.  He also stressed that the agreements and the constitution must be respected and the Iraqi parties must observe the principles of partnership, consensus and balance.

In another part of the meeting, President Barzani asked the participants to present their comments, suggestions and requests and at the end of the meeting, President Barzani answered the questions and requests of the participants.
