President Barzani met with the party organizations of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) in Badinan district

President Masoud Barzani met with the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) party organizations in Badinan district in Duhok on Saturday evening.

 In the meeting, which was organized to exchange views on the problems of citizens, to be aware of the situation of party organizations and to follow up the results of the 14th Congress of the Kurdistan Democratic Party.

 

President Barzani delivered a speech, In his speech, President Barzani highlighted the situation of the party and the decisions of the 14th Congress of the Kurdistan Regional Government, as well as the political situation in the Kurdistan Region and threats and obstacles it face in the current and future stages.  President Barzani pointed out that the KDP has taken the initiative to hold elections since the 1991 uprising and to move from revolutionary legitimacy to constitutional legitimacy.  He said that anyone who is concerned about the interests of Kurdistan will never create obstacles to the electoral process.  President Barzani stressed that the political parties must agree on the national lines and preserve the status of the region despite their differences. 

President Barzani further highlighted the relations between the Kurdistan Region and the Federal Republic of Iraq and briefly described the history of the relationship in the past twenty years and stressed that in order for Iraq to be stable, all parties must observe compliance with the constitution  agree on.

 In the same meeting, President Barzani called for work to deepen the sense of patriotism among the youth and raise awareness among citizens about the threats and support the Kurdistan Regional Government.

 After President Barzani's speech, the door of discussion, questions, criticisms and comments was opened for the participants of the meeting and President Barzani presented the necessary answers and clarifications to the participants.
