President Barzani met with the people of Zakho Independent Administration

President Barzani visited Zakho.and met with the people of Zakho Independent Administration.

 President Barzani delivered a speech at the meeting and expressed his pleasure to have the opportunity to visit Zakho once again and meet with them.  He also highlighted the promises made to implement projects and more services to the people of Zakho and said that he supports the independent administration of Zakho.  President Barzani said that attention should be paid to the agricultural and tourism sectors in order to provide more ground for development and prosperity for the people.  He added that the advice to the government and relevant agencies was to serve the people.

 President Barzani also referred to the political situation in the Kurdistan Region and told the gathering that they are trying to create unity and solidarity among the parties, especially on national interest that no party should deviate from these lines and general interests.  He added that the KDP came with the vote and support of the people and that trust must be maintained and elections must be held.  Regarding the relations between the Kurdistan Region and Iraq, President Barzani gave a brief historical account of these relations and pointed out that the main reason for the crisis and instability in Iraq is due to the rejection of signatures and agreements and failure to implement the constitution.

 President Barzani called on the citizens to be aware of the threats and obstacles facing the Kurdistani people and stressed the commitment to the spirit of patriotism and protection of the values ​​and legitimate cause of the Kurdish people.

 In the final part of the meeting, the door was opened for questions, criticisms and comments of the participants and President Barzani presented the necessary answers and clarifications to the participants.

 During his visit to Zakho, President Barzani also visited the Dalal Bridge on the Khabur River in Zakho.
