President Barzani receives Ambassador of the Netherlands to Iraq

President Masoud Barzani received Ms. Janet Albera, Ambassador of the Netherlands to Iraq, in Salahaddin on Monday.

In the meeting, which was attended by Mr. Roelof Van Ees, Consul General of the Netherlands in the Kurdistan Region, the Dutch Ambassador to Iraq expressed his appreciation for the role of President Barzani in leading the fight against ISIS terrorists. In another part of the meeting, the Dutch Consul General expressed his pleasure to hold the Kurdistan parliamentary elections in October and hoped that the results of the elections will strengthen the institutions and more stability in the Kurdistan Region.

The meeting also discussed the political situation in Iraq and the region, the results of President Barzani's recent visit to Baghdad, the relations between the Kurdistan Regional Government and the Federal Iraqi Government, as well as the internal situation in the Kurdistan Region
