President Barzani receives new Turkish Consul in Kurdistan

President of Kurdistan-Region Massoud Barzani received Turkey’s new Consul in Kurdistan Mr Mehmet Akif in Salahaddin.

Mr Akif expressed his delight in meeting President Barzani and extended greetings from Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutuloglu, while referring to close relations between Kurdistan and Turkey.

Included in their discussion were talks of the large number of Turkish companies having invested and working in the region, justifying relations between the two sides.

Mr Barzani welcomed the new Consul of Turkey in the region and congratulated him on the occasion of assuming his functions. Relations between Kurdistan and Turkey have experienced a great development and the Kurdistan Regional Government is ready to enhance further relations
