Prime Minister Barzani receives Armenian Deputy Finance Minister

Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region Nechirvan Barzani received Armenia’s Deputy Minister of Finance, Tikran Hartyunyan and his accompanying delegation.

At a meeting that was attended by Iraq’s Deputy Prime Minister Dr Roj Nori Shaways that focused on Armenia’s desire to create strong economic relationships with the Kurdistan-Region, Mr Hartyunyan expressed his satisfaction with his visit and the greetings of his country’s prime minister.

Mr Hartyunyan talked of encouraging the framework of the joint Iraqi-Armenian trade and economic activities for strengthening of relations and the topic of launching an official direct airline between Kurdistan and Armenia.

For his part, Prime Minister Barzani welcomed the delegation and said expanding ties and contributing to developments from both sides in Kurdistan will benefit both parties.
