Hawrami talks of strengthening relations between Kurdistan and EU

Hemin Hawrami, Head of Kurdistan Democratic Party Foreign Relations Office received Vice President Nicola Rinaldi, of the Liberals Democrats block in the European Parliament.

Mr Rinaldi expressed his pleasure in visiting the Kurdistan region and said that his intentions are to strengthen relations between the European Union and Kurdistan, while praising the region's stability and security, also taking this opportunity to congratulate the KDP of their success in recent legislative elections and the victory of the KDP for a majority of parliamentary seats.

For his part, Mr Hawrami welcomed Mr Rinaldi and talked about Kurdistan and the developments on the political scene, including relations between the territory and the Federal Government.

The Syrian crisis and the flow of refugees was another focus of the meeting.
