“In the name of God, The Benefical, The Merciful,
Media outlets in Kurdistan have recently been publicising news that is endangering and challenging the gain of the people of Kurdistan and it is targeting the harmony of our region and its sovereign interests.
These statements are seen as part of an effort to separate the Sulimania province from Kurdistan-Region, done while Kurdish leadership is continuing with ongoing efforts to implement Article 140, and returning Kirkuk plus other Kurdish areas outside the provincial administration to its natural position as an integral part of Kurdistan.
Such statements are considered as mere delusions contrary to the determination of the people of Kurdistan. We clearly and bluntly reaffirm that the unison of the region is a red line that cannot be impaired under any circumstances and by any means.
However, we will say that we are with all efforts of reform which aim at consolidation democracy and sustain the province in all fields; political, economic, social and cultural. We also ask the KRG to take what is necessary, without delay, to hold provincial elections, which is a turning point in conducting such reforms in Sulimania and other areas, and promoting legal foundations of the region in various areas.”
