President Barzani receives the new UAE Ambassador to Iraq

President Masoud Barzani received, today, Wednesday, December 4, 2024, in Salahaddin, Ambassador Abdullah Matar Al Mazrouei, the new UAE Ambassador to Iraq.

During the meeting, the new UAE Ambassador expressed his happiness to visit the Kurdistan Region and meet with President Barzani. He also conveyed the greetings of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, to President Barzani, praising the people of Kurdistan, the government and institutions of the region for establishing stability and the efforts made to achieve development and reconstruction.

For his part, President Barzani warmly welcomed the UAE Ambassador to Iraq, wishing him success and prosperity. President Barzani also described the rationality and wisdom of the UAE leadership and its keenness on the country’s renaissance and prosperity as an ideal model while he stressed the depth of friendship and closeness between the people of Kurdistan and the leadership and people of the UAE, and expressed his hope to strengthen and expand the bonds of relations between the two sides.
